چکیده
Contamination of the aquatic environment and living things with pollutants is increasing daily. Among these pollutants, heavy metals come to forefront regarding toxicological public health due their widespread use, toxicity, resistance degradation, as well accumulation biomagnification in food chain. The study aimed determine essential (Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni, Zn) non-essential (As, Al, Cd, Pb) metal concentrations by ICP-OES Metapenaeus monoceros, Penaeus japonicus, semisulcatus (n=30) caught from Northeastern Mediterranean, Iskenderun Bay. concentration Cr, Pb were under LOD. (ppm) ranges Al: 0.73-38.89, As: 2.18-9.68, Cu: 28.96-69.01, Fe: 7.85-241.36, Mn: 0.44-1.28, Zn: 51.71-108.51 for all species. Except As concentrations, differences between mean shrimp species not statistically significant. When results are compared findings other studies on shrimps Bay, it shows that contamination levels decreased, while Zn increased.

Comparison of Essential and Non Essential Amino Acids in the Microbial Protein of Pleurotus Florida from the Lignocellulosic Wastes
Introduction: Cereal straws contain Cellulose, Hemicelluloses and Lignin and are most available renewable biopolymers. White rot fungi is used to convert these wastes into microbial protein. Pleurotus Florida are having the most delignification ability amongst other micro-organisms. We determined the amounts of protein, essential and non essential amino acids of the produced microbial protein f...
متن کاملConcentrations and interactions of selected essential and non-essential elements in bowhead and beluga whales of arctic Alaska.
In this study, we evaluated concentrations of twelve essential and non-essential elements (As, Cd, Co, Cu, Pb, Mg, Mn, Hg, Mo, Se, Ag, and Zn) in tissues of bowhead (Balaena mysticetus) and beluga (Delphinapterus leucas) whales from arctic Alaska (USA) and northwestern Canada. Tissue samples were collected between 1983 and 1997, mostly in 1995-97. The essential elements are reported to develop ...
متن کاملEssential and Non-Essential Amino Acids in Relation to Glutamate
The protein intake during the Palaeolithic period has been estimated to be two and a half fold greater than current recommendations. Hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen and carbon atoms are important components of essential and nonessential amino acids which are components of proteins. These simple molecules play an important role in the human body. The 22 known amino acids, essential and nonessential, ...
متن کاملEssential and Non-essential Amino Acids in Neonatal Nutrition
There has been an evolution in the appreciation of the functional roles that amino acids play in neonatal nutrition over the last 30 years. Up to the early 1960s primary interest was in the identification of those amino acids that had to be supplied in the diet in order to maintain growth and positive nitrogen balance (Table 1). Most of the experiments that were performed to identify these amin...
متن کاملRNAs' uracil quartet model with a non-essential metal ion.
We have recently communicated the resemblance of 1-hexyluracil in the crystal state with a lipid bilayer (CrystEngComm, 2010, 12, 362-365). Treatment of this molecule with silver nitrate yields a model, using a non-essential metal ion, of a uracil quartet with geometric parameters comparable to those previously found in RNA strands.
